A jet door opens upward rather than outward, and on a night where the arrival is half the point that is not a detail, it is the photograph. It also means the vehicle needs clear space beside it to open properly, which is worth knowing if the plan involves a tight hotel porte-cochere or a packed restaurant kerb.
